Pikes Peak Counseling provides non-emergency counseling services by appointment only and specializes in Child, Teen and Family Counseling.

A variety of issues that I work with include but are not limited to:

I am typically in the office Tuesdays through Saturdays. Evening appointments are available during weekdays. I do not provide 24-hour emergency assistance. If you feel that you are having a true emergency please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Please be aware that I cannot guarantee complete confidentiality over a phone line or through e-mail correspondence. Please be brief with the information that you provide over the phone or in an e-mail. I will return phone calls and e-mails as promptly as possible during business hours (usually within 24 hours).

Divorce Groups for Children & Adolescents

Divorce Groups for Children & Adolescents

Pikes Peak Counseling offers a 6-week divorce group for children (ages 7-11) and for adolescents (ages 12-15) whose parents are separated, currently going through a divorce or who are divorced. The child and adolescent groups will focus on coping skills and strategies to help your child, pre-teen or teen through this challenging time.

Dates and Times: Please contact Amy Maddox at Pikes Peak Counseling for current dates and times (*Please note: the Pikes Peak Counseling Divorce Groups do not run between Memorial Day and Labor Day)

Cost: $40.00 per participant per session

These 6-week groups will cover issues regarding:

*Self-esteem/self-expression/self-identity
*Peer pressure/rumors/bullying
*Problem-solving strategies
*Stress-reduction techniques
*Joining groups/working in a group setting
*Boundaries/impulse control
